When projects drift, records decide what happens next.
Construction & Contract Advisory
When a project becomes difficult — delays, defects, changes, incomplete work — the outcome usually turns on the quality of the records, not the volume of the argument. We organise the documents, establish the chronology and prepare the structured evidence that supports negotiation or formal processes.
Contract & quotation review
Contracts, quotations and project correspondence reviewed in plain English — before signature or after things go wrong.
Project chronology
Drawings, photographs and instructions organised into a clear, dated chronology of what actually happened.
Delays, defects & changes
Delays, defects, variations and incomplete work reviewed against the contract and the contemporaneous record.
Structured evidence & records
Evidence packs prepared for negotiation or formal processes, with clear approval, action and document records maintained throughout.
Structural scheme coordination for a loft conversion — schematic extract.
Typical warm flat roof build-up — technical detail coordination.
Existing-condition and rear-access review — works in progress.
Selected examples of survey, planning, design-coordination and project-control work. Drawings are anonymised presentation extracts, not construction information. Project identities are withheld; photographs showing works in progress are not presented as completed work.
No. We are technical construction practitioners, not a law firm. We bridge the gap between site reality and contractual or legal processes. We evaluate physical defects, assess delay claims, audit disputed variation accounts, establish contemporaneous timelines, and compile structured evidence packs. Where formal dispute resolution, adjudication, or litigation takes place, we work alongside your solicitors or counsel to provide the technical foundation and factual clarity they need.
Yes. We act impartially on either side of the contract. For contractors and specialist subcontractors, we assist with variation claim substantiation, notice drafting, extension of time (EOT) justifications, and payment dispute documentation. For employers and clients, we independently inspect incomplete works, audit contractor delay claims, evaluate defect liability, and review final accounts. Our standing is built strictly on what the contract and contemporaneous records substantiate.
No responsible practitioner guarantees an outcome in any contentious matter. What we guarantee is rigorous, objective analysis of the facts, the contract terms, and the contemporaneous site record. We tell you candidly what the documentation supports, where your position is exposed, and what commercial risks exist. This factual clarity frequently enables pragmatic commercial settlements before costly formal proceedings begin.
As early as possible. The most cost-effective stage is before contract signing or when agreeing significant contract amendments. If a project is already on site and running into difficulty — instructions are undocumented, delays are accruing, defect allegations are escalating, or payments are being withheld — contact us immediately. Establishing an accurate, contemporaneous chronology early protects your commercial standing far better than trying to reconstruct lost evidence months later.
